Fr. Athanasios Giocas has studied engineering, law and theology, earning a doctorate in law in 2016. In total, he holds six university degrees, as well as a license to practice law. A specialist in the area of law and religion, Fr. Athanasios has participated in many conferences and has published extensively including a treatise on the legal philosophy of nineteenth century Russian religious philosopher Vladimir S. Soloviev. Fr. Athanasios is an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Sciences of Laval University. He is married to Presvytera Polyxeni and they have three children.
